A major tragedy has occurred in the Fatehpur district of Uttar Pradesh. Eight people who went to bathe in the Yamuna River here have drowned, four of whom have died.

A major tragedy has occurred in the Lalauli police station area of Fatehpur district. Here, eight people drowned while bathing in the Yamuna River, four of whom have died. Meanwhile, four individuals were rescued by local fishermen; they are currently undergoing treatment at a hospital.
4 Youths Die After Drowning in Yamuna River
On Sunday, while bathing in the Yamuna River, eight youths began to drown in the deep waters. Alerted by their cries for help, fishermen present nearby managed to pull four of the drowning individuals to safety, while the other four perished. The deceased have been identified as Hasibuddin, Shahid, Ansh, and Shan—all residents of Tapni village within the Lalauli police station jurisdiction. Upon receiving news of the incident, the Lalauli police force immediately rushed to the scene. The police have sent the four bodies for a post-mortem examination and are currently initiating legal proceedings.
9 Youths Had Gone to Bathe in the River
Four youths have lost their lives after drowning in the Yamuna River in Fatehpur. According to local residents, a group of nine youths from Tapni village had gone to bathe in the Yamuna River near Kunhuha Dera. During the bath, one of the youths exited the water early, while the remaining eight ventured further into the deeper sections. Consequently, four of them drowned and died, while the other four were successfully rescued by fishermen. After being pulled from the river, the four rescued youths were admitted to the Bindki Community Health Centre (CHC) for medical treatment.
3 Teenagers Drown in the Ganges River in Kaushambi
A significant tragedy has also struck the Kaushambi district. In Kaushambi, three friends—Aman Nishad (14), Umesh Nishad (15), and Pradeep Kumar (17)—had gone to bathe at Mahila Ghat. While bathing, all three friends began to drown in the deep waters. Hearing their cries for help, villagers and divers present in the vicinity managed to rescue Umesh Nishad and Pradeep Kumar; however, Aman was swept away by the river currents. Acting on information provided by locals, the police have arrived at the scene. Efforts to locate Aman, who remains submerged in the river, are currently underway.
