On Saturday morning (July 18), the Delhi Police forcibly removed Sonam Wangchuk from the protest site at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar, where he had been on a hunger strike for the past 20 days demanding action regarding the NEET paper leak and the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. The police have taken him to a hospital for medical attention. Following this drastic action, popular singer Vishal Dadlani has expressed his outrage.
“My head is exploding with anger…” Vishal Dadlani lashed out at the government and administration, terming the entire action an act of “cowardice.” He recently shared a video on Instagram in which he appears visibly distressed and furious. He said, “Look, have you ever seen such cowardice? They have forcibly taken Sonam-ji away. It breaks my heart to see what these people are doing to this country.”
He further appealed to the citizens of the country to wake up, asking, “My fellow countrymen, when will you finally wake up? If not now, then when? I don’t know what to say or think. I just wish I were there and could have helped him in some way. Right now, my head is exploding with anger.”

During this period, he lost more than 9 kg. His doctor has warned that his condition is becoming critical due to the prolonged hunger strike and that his vital organs could begin to suffer the consequences.
