In the Maharajganj district of Uttar Pradesh, a minor dispute over a pair of shoes turned into a tragedy for a family. During an altercation regarding who would get to wear a newly purchased pair of shoes first, a teenager attacked and killed his own younger brother using a pair of scissors.

According to the police, two brothers, aged 16 and 15, clashed over who would be the first to wear a new pair of shoes that had been ordered online. Initially, the dispute involved nothing more than a verbal argument, but as tensions escalated, the situation turned violent. In a fit of rage, the elder brother grabbed a pair of scissors lying nearby and repeatedly stabbed his younger brother. The attack inflicted severe injuries to the younger brother’s head and hands, causing him to collapse on the spot.

Younger Brother Dies During Treatment

Immediately following the incident, family members hurriedly rushed the injured younger brother to the Community Health Centre located in Ghugli. Given the critical nature of his condition, doctors referred him to the District Hospital, where he subsequently passed away while undergoing treatment.

Chaos and Mourning Grip the Household

The incident has plunged the entire family into chaos and distress, and an atmosphere of mourning prevails throughout the village. Additional Superintendent of Police Siddharth Kumar stated that, in this case, both the deceased and the accused are minors. The police have initiated legal proceedings, and an investigation into the matter is currently underway.
