At the Bank of Maharashtra branch located in Baidhan, five masked miscreants looted valuables worth ₹15 crore in just 15 minutes. The robbers assaulted the bank manager and sowed terror by firing shots into the air.

A sensational daylight bank robbery in the Singrauli district of Madhya Pradesh has shaken the entire city. On Friday afternoon, five armed, masked miscreants barged into the Bank of Maharashtra branch located in the Baidhan area and, within a mere 15 to 20 minutes, looted crores of rupees before fleeing the scene. The criminals not only held the people present in the bank hostage but also brutally assaulted the bank manager when he attempted to resist, spreading terror throughout the locality by firing shots into the air. This incident resembled a scene straight out of a movie and has raised serious questions regarding the efficacy of the local security apparatus.

5 Miscreants Enter Bank in Broad Daylight

The incident occurred around 12:50 PM on Friday afternoon, while routine banking operations were underway. According to eyewitnesses, two masked miscreants initially entered the bank, and within a matter of seconds, three more accomplices—brandishing weapons—stormed inside. Caught off guard by this sudden turn of events, the customers and employees present in the bank panicked; before they could even comprehend what was happening, the miscreants had held everyone at gunpoint.

Manager Assaulted; Shots Fired to Spread Terror

When the bank manager attempted to resist the miscreants, the robbers brutally assaulted him. It is reported that the criminals struck the manager on the head with the butt of a gun, leaving him severely injured and covered in blood. The miscreants did not stop there; to create an atmosphere of fear, they also fired shots into the air both inside and outside the bank premises.

Loot Worth ₹15 Crore

Taking complete control of the bank, the robbers went on a rampage for approximately 15 to 20 minutes. During this time, they made off with about ₹20 lakh in cash and 10 kilograms of gold jewelry stored within the bank. According to the police, this haul included approximately ₹14.50 lakh that was already present in the bank, along with the day’s fresh cash collections. Following the robbery, the miscreants fled the scene on two motorcycles.
