A building has collapsed in Delhi’s Mukundpur following a cylinder explosion; several people are reported to have been injured.

A building completely collapsed following a cylinder blast in Delhi’s Mukundpur area. It is feared that several people may be trapped beneath the debris of the collapsed structure. Upon receiving information about the incident, a team from the Fire Department rushed to the scene and immediately began clearing the rubble to extricate the injured.
According to reports, the Fire Department received a distress call regarding the incident around 9:30 AM on Tuesday (June 2). It was reported that 4-5 people sustained injuries in the accident; locals swiftly transported them to a hospital for immediate medical attention before the police even arrived. Subsequently, a team from the Delhi Fire Service reached the site, and a rescue operation was launched to save others who might be trapped within the debris.
Cylinder Explodes in Single-Story House
The incident occurred in Ishu Vihar, located in Lane Number 1 of Mukundpur-2. ADO Paras, STO Giriraj, and SO Pradeep arrived at the scene around 10:10 AM. It was ascertained that a single-story house had crumbled due to an LPG cylinder explosion. The house was constructed on a plot spanning 250 square yards. Currently, there are no reports of any fatalities. Rescue operations to save those trapped remain underway.
What Did the Delhi Police Say?
According to the Delhi Police, six people sustained injuries in this incident. Information regarding their current medical condition cannot be provided at this time and will only become available following a medical examination by doctors. A police official stated that the building where the accident occurred was being used for polishing utensils.
