The re-evaluation process for Class 12 students, conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), was scheduled to begin on Monday; however, on the very first day, the Board’s portal appeared to be affected due to technical glitches.
CBSE पोर्टल री-इवैल्यूएशन के पहले दिन ही पड़ा ठप, छात्र सोशल मीडिया पर कर रहे शिकायत, CBSE की प्रतिक्रिया का इंतजा
Following the announcement of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Class 12 results, students are eagerly awaiting the commencement of the re-evaluation process. The re-evaluation process was originally scheduled to begin on May 29; however, the date was subsequently rescheduled to June 1. Today is June 1, and since this morning, students have been waiting anxiously for the portal to go live so they can submit their applications. In fact, despite the June 1 timeline, the CBSE re-evaluation verification window has not yet opened. The official CBSE webpage currently displays an “Under Maintenance” message, stating that this facility will be made available shortly.
CBSE had previously postponed the re-evaluation process, citing a desire to ensure a smooth and glitch-free system. This is the reason for the delay. However, the fact that the portal remains non-functional even after the stipulated deadline has compounded the students’ anxiety.
Meanwhile, sources within CBSE indicate that the re-evaluation portal will indeed be launched today. Technical and payment-related formalities are currently being finalized before the portal goes live. CBSE sources stated that the Board is working diligently to ensure the system is technically error-free.
Apprehensions Regarding the Admission Process
Following the release of the Class 12 results, many students have claimed that—despite performing well in their examinations—the marks awarded do not reflect their actual performance. These lower-than-expected scores are having a direct impact on the college admission process. There are numerous students who have secured less than 75% marks in Class 12 but have successfully qualified for the JEE (Joint Entrance Examination). These students are hopeful that by applying for re-evaluation, they can improve their scores and subsequently apply for admission to their preferred engineering colleges.
Students also fear that if their revised marks are not updated in a timely manner, it could adversely affect their admission process. It is pertinent to note that JEE counseling is scheduled to commence on June 2. Securing a minimum of 75% marks in Class 12 is a mandatory prerequisite for participating in the JEE counseling process.
