पटना में दिनदहाड़े बदमाशों ने कैश वैन से लूटे 27 लाख रुपए, सम्राट सरकार की कानून-व्यवस्था की फिर खुली पोल
In Bihar, brazen criminals have once again exposed the fragile state of law and order under the Samrat Chaudhary administration. On Wednesday, in the Gopalpur police station area of the capital city, Patna, armed miscreants brazenly challenged the police by ambushing a CMS cash van in broad daylight, looting approximately ₹27 lakh, and fleeing the scene. According to the police, upon receiving information about the incident, officers from various police stations rushed to the crime scene and are currently interrogating the individuals who were on board the van.
According to reports, the CMS cash van was en route to Fatuha after collecting cash from various locations and major commercial establishments. While traveling along the Sampatchak-Fatuha Road, the van was overtaken and brought to a halt by five miscreants riding three motorcycles, who had been lying in ambush. Brandishing their weapons, the criminals proceeded to assault the security guard and other occupants of the van; they then forced open the safe, looted the cash stored inside, and made their escape.
Commenting on the incident, Parichay Kumar, the Superintendent of Police (East), stated that the cash van had failed to adhere to any standard security protocols. Furthermore, the local police station had not been notified that such a large sum of money was being transported. The van was neither equipped with a CCTV camera, nor were its windows rolled up at the time of the incident. Moreover, the vehicle itself was in a completely dilapidated condition. He added that the police have initiated an investigation into the matter and are currently scrutinizing CCTV footage obtained from the surrounding areas.
The police have set up blockades across the surrounding localities. Authorities stated that, given the gravity of the case, a special investigation team has been constituted. Footage from CCTV cameras located at the crime scene and along the criminals’ escape routes is being thoroughly examined. The police have expressed confidence that the perpetrators will soon be identified and apprehended. The investigation is currently proceeding from every possible angle.
