In the Nangloi area of the national capital, Delhi, a woman has allegedly been gang-raped inside a moving bus. Acting swiftly following the victim’s complaint, the police have arrested two accused individuals in connection with this case. Currently, the police are engaged in further investigation.
The victim has alleged that she was gang-raped inside a private bus. The bus was fitted with curtains, and she had boarded it from the Rani Bagh area. The incident took place in Nangloi, located in Outer Delhi. The victim is a resident of the Pitampura area and works at a factory in Mongolpuri. On the night of May 11, she was walking home from work when a sleeper bus stopped near the B-Block bus stand in Saraswati Vihar. It is alleged that the woman asked a man standing at the bus door for the time, following which she was allegedly forcibly dragged inside the bus.
According to the police, the accused drove the bus towards the Nangloi area, where the woman was allegedly raped. Police sources indicate that the woman is married and has three children. Following the incident, the victim filed a complaint at the Nangloi police station. Officials stated that after the victim underwent a medical examination and her complaint was received, the police registered a case and deployed a team to initiate further action in the matter.
The Delhi Police have arrested two accused individuals in this case, identified as the bus driver and the conductor. The police have also seized the bus used in the crime. Officials stated that the Delhi Police are currently investigating the case from every possible angle. However, this incident of gang-rape inside a moving bus in Delhi has once again raised serious questions regarding the safety of women.
