Two Sikhs were shot dead in Covo (Bergamo province), Italy. The attack occurred as they were exiting a warehouse—which was being utilized as a place of worship during the Vaisakhi festivities. Local media reported this information on Sunday. The assault took place in an industrial area situated in front of Gurdwara Mata Sahib Kaur Ji, just minutes before midnight. The deceased have been identified as Raginder Singh (48), a resident of Covo, and Gurmeet Singh (48), a resident of Agnadello.

According to reports, the assailant allegedly approached the two men, opened fire, and subsequently fled the scene in a car. Preliminary investigations have ruled out the possibility of a spontaneous altercation. Approximately 10 shell casings were recovered from the crime scene, leading to suspicions that this was a premeditated attack.

A witness stated that the assailant was also an Indian national and was a regular visitor to the Gurdwara. According to the same witness, the bullets also grazed a third individual.
