A tragic incident took place in Swami village and Nathu ka Nagla area under Thana Sikandra of Agra, when 6 girls who went to take bath in Yamuna river drowned. These girls included one adult and 5 minor teenagers. This incident happened when the girls went to take bath in the river.
Villagers took immediate action and took the girls out
The villagers showed promptness and took all the girls out of Yamuna. Immediately after, all of them were admitted to the nearest hospital. Some of these girls were unconscious and were taken to the hospital in critical condition.
Circle police force reached the spot
As soon as the information about the incident was received, the circle police force reached the spot and took stock of the situation. The police have started investigating the matter and efforts are being made to know the reasons for this incident.
