India supports UN resolution! condemning Israeli settlements in Palestine

Meanwhile, an important resolution has been passed in the United Nations. This resolution was against Israeli settlements in Palestine. India voted in favor of this resolution. 145 countries voted in support of the resolution. At the same time, Canada, Hungary, Israel, Marshall Islands, Federated States of Micronesia, Nauru and America voted against the proposal. At the same time, 18 countries did not participate in the voting.

India had distanced itself from another proposal

Last month, India had abstained from voting on a resolution moved by Jordan in the United Nations General Assembly (UNSC) calling for an immediate humanitarian ceasefire in the Israel-Hamas war. India did this because there was no mention of Hamas in the resolution. The resolution regarding protection of citizens, upholding legal and humanitarian obligations was passed with an overwhelming majority. 120 countries voted in favor of the resolution and 14 countries voted against it. 45 countries did not participate in the voting.

Other important updates related to war

According to the United Nations Relief Agency, the death toll in Gaza has increased to 11,078. These include 4,506 children and 3,027 women.

According to the United Nations, 2,700 other people, including about 1,500 children, are missing. Many people are buried under the debris. 27,490 Palestinians are injured.

According to the Palestinian Health Ministry, 39 children are at risk of death in Al-Shifa hospital due to power cuts and interruption of oxygen supply.

Other hospitals are also under attack, with the head of the Palestinian Red Crescent saying Israel is deliberately targeting hospitals.

An Arab-Islamist summit hosted by Saudi Arabia called for an end to the war in Gaza and rejected the justification of Israeli actions against Palestinians as self-defense.

In Tel Aviv, thousands of people rallied for the release of detainees by Hamas.

Large marches were held in cities around the world, including New York, London, Paris, Baghdad, Karachi, Berlin and Edinburgh, demanding an immediate ceasefire in Gaza.
