On the auspicious occasion of Guru Purnima, a massive crowd of devotees gathered at Har Ki Pauri in Haridwar, Uttarakhand. Devotees arriving from across the country took a holy dip in the River Ganga, performed Guru Puja, and prayed for happiness, prosperity, and well-being.
With Guru Purnima, the Sawan Kanwar Yatra has also formally commenced. A large number of Shiva devotees arrived at Har Ki Pauri to collect the holy waters of the Ganga, and the entire ghat resonated throughout the day with devotion, reverence, and chants of “Har-Har Mahadev.”
