The police have arrested four accused in connection with the gang-rape and murder of a minor girl in Delhi’s Outer North area. Three of them are minors.

The police have apprehended four accused individuals in connection with the gang-rape and murder of a minor girl in Delhi’s Outer North area. Three of the accused are minors; one is 16 years old, and two are 17.
The police have recovered the knife used in the murder and blood-stained clothes from the accused.
On the morning of September 13, the police received information that the body of a minor girl had been found in the fields near Kushak Road in the Swaroop Nagar area. Initially, she could not be identified. However, the investigation revealed that she had been raped prior to the murder. Subsequently, the police registered a case under charges of murder, rape, and Section 6 of the POCSO Act and initiated an investigation.
The police conducted inquiries in the vicinity but found no one who had heard any noise or witnessed anything during the incident. They then began examining nearby CCTV cameras. A suspicious tempo was spotted in some camera footage, but its registration number was not clearly visible due to the darkness.
Following this, the police traced the entire route and examined footage from approximately 50 CCTV cameras. The investigation led them to the tempo, which was found parked in Khadda Colony. After questioning the driver, the police apprehended all four accused. Three of them are minors, while the fourth has been identified as Shivam, alias Sudama.
The police also recovered two knives and the blood-stained clothes worn by the accused at the time of the crime. Currently, the police are interrogating all the accused to determine their respective roles in the incident. They are also investigating whether any other individuals were involved in the crime.
