He began his career as a producer in 1982 with the film Hathkadi, which featured a star-studded cast including Shatrughan Sinha, Reena Roy, and Sanjeev Kumar. Subsequently, he produced numerous films that continue to hold a special place in the hearts of audiences to this day. His memorable films include Aankhen, Andaz, Talaash, Rangeela Raja, and Julie 2.
Additionally, he served as the Chairman of the CBFC (Central Board of Film Certification) from 2015 to 2017.
