ED arrests Punjab minister Sanjeev Arora after raids at Chandigarh residence

The ED conducted raids at a total of four locations, including Punjab Minister Sanjeev Arora’s official residence in Chandigarh, across Delhi-NCR. This action was taken under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA).

Major news has emerged concerning Sanjeev Arora—a minister in the Punjab government and a leader of the Aam Aadmi Party. The Enforcement Directorate has arrested him following raids conducted in connection with a money laundering case.

During this operation, several individuals close to Sanjeev Arora were also taken into custody. A team from the investigative agency conducted prolonged interrogation and search operations at his premises, culminating in his arrest. According to sources, the search operations at his locations are still ongoing.

Earlier, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann had held a press conference regarding the Enforcement Directorate’s action at Sanjeev Arora’s residence. Taking aim at the Central Government, he stated that investigative agencies are being misused to serve political objectives. The Chief Minister alleged that central agencies are being utilized as tools to exert pressure on opposition leaders.
