A major tragedy struck late Sunday night in Delhi’s Vivek Vihar area following a massive fire that engulfed a four-story building. According to preliminary reports, nine people are feared dead in the incident, while the search for others remains underway.

According to media reports, an AC blast is suspected to be the cause of the fire. The blaze spread so rapidly that many occupants did not even get a chance to escape, thereby exacerbating the severity of the tragedy.
Information Received Late at Night
The fire department received the alert regarding the fire at 3:47 AM. Responding immediately, 14 fire tenders were dispatched to the scene. Upon arrival, firefighters began working to bring the blaze under control.
Administration’s Statement: Relief and Rescue Operations Continue
Rajendra Prasad Meena, Deputy Commissioner of the Shahdara district, stated that nine bodies have been recovered so far. Multiple fire tenders remain present at the site, and efforts to safely evacuate other individuals are ongoing. The administration is closely monitoring the situation.
