राजस्थान: दिल्ली-मुंबई एक्सप्रेसवे पर पूरा परिवार ख़त्म, चलती कार में लगी आग, वैष्णो देवी से लौट रहे 5 लोगों की मौत
A horrific accident on the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway in Rajasthan’s Alwar district late Wednesday night has shaken the entire region. Near Maujpur in the Laxmangarh police station area, a moving car suddenly burst into flames, resulting in the death of all five occupants, who were burned alive. The deceased include three women, one man, and one child. All were residents of Sheopur, Madhya Pradesh, and were returning after offering prayers at Vaishno Devi.
Accident Occurs During Return Journey
According to reports, the family had booked a taxi for their pilgrimage to Vaishno Devi. After completing their darshan (prayers), they were on their way back to Madhya Pradesh. Late at night, as their car was traveling along the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway near Maujpur in the Laxmangarh area of Alwar, it suddenly caught fire. Within moments, the flames engulfed the entire vehicle.
Gas Leak Suspected Cause of Accident
Preliminary investigations reveal that the car was a dual-fuel vehicle, capable of running on both CNG and petrol. It is suspected that a gas leak triggered the fire. The fire spread so rapidly that the five occupants inside the car did not even get a chance to escape and were burned alive. At the time of the accident, the driver managed to jump out of the moving vehicle, thereby saving his life; however, he sustained severe burns and is currently undergoing treatment at the Sawai Man Singh Hospital in Jaipur.
Delayed Rescue Efforts; Identification Difficult
Upon receiving information about the incident, teams from the Laxmangarh police station, the fire brigade, and the local administration rushed to the scene and brought the fire under control. However, by that time, the car had been completely reduced to ashes, and all the occupants had perished. Due to the severe burning of the bodies, their identification has become extremely difficult. The police have stated that the identities of the deceased will now be established through DNA testing.
Investigation into the Matter Continues
Following the accident, a Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) team was also summoned to the site to investigate the exact causes behind the fire. The police have seized the vehicle, registered a case, and initiated an investigation. The incident was so horrific that it sent shivers down the spines of those present at the scene. Locals immediately alerted the police and the fire department, but the flames were so intense that no one could be saved. Currently, the police are contacting the families of the deceased.
