MP | Fire breaks out at scrap godown in Banganga area of Indore, India

A massive fire broke out on Sunday at a scrap warehouse filled with plastic in the Banganga area of ​​Indore. Upon receiving information about the incident, 4–5 fire tenders rushed to the scene and, after a strenuous effort, brought the blaze under control. There are no reports of any casualties in the incident, though the damage is estimated to be around ₹30–32 lakh.

Madhya Pradesh: A massive fire broke out on Sunday at a scrap warehouse in the Banganga area of ​​Indore. Upon receiving reports of the incident, several fire tenders rushed to the scene and began operations to bring the blaze under control. The warehouse contained scrap material heavily laden with plastic, which caused the fire to spread rapidly. However, the exact cause of the fire remains unknown at this time. Preliminary estimates suggest that the incident has resulted in financial losses amounting to approximately ₹30–32 lakhs. Fortunately, there are no reports of any casualties. The situation is currently reported to be under control.

Gas Cylinders Safely Removed from Warehouse

Fire Brigade Sub-Inspector Shiv Narayan Sharma stated that a very intense fire had engulfed the scrap warehouse. Given the severity of the situation, additional fire tenders were summoned from other fire stations. The fire has now been successfully brought under control. The staff quarters located near the warehouse were evacuated, and the gas cylinders stored on the premises were safely removed. He further informed that 4–5 fire tenders remain present at the scene, and a JCB machine has been brought in to assess the situation inside the warehouse.

Investigation into the Cause of the Accident Underway

The scrap warehouse belongs to a man named Aslam Gauri. He stated that the fire broke out suddenly, and the cause remains unknown. He estimated that the fire has resulted in financial losses of approximately ₹30 to ₹32 lakhs. However, a saving grace is that there are no reports of any casualties resulting from this incident.
