According to the fire department, the death toll has risen to 46, while approximately 21 people are still missing. Approximately 3,600 people have been displaced by floods and landslides in the cities of Juiz de Fora and Uba, located approximately 110 kilometers away. Relief and rescue operations are ongoing, but many homes and towns remain covered in mud and debris.
