A broad daylight shooting in the Tibetan Market of Dehradun, the capital of Uttarakhand, caused a sensation. Unknown assailants shot a young man, killing him on the spot. The accused fled on a scooter after the incident.
The incident occurred in the Tibetan Market in the Kotwali Dalanwala area, where the market was bustling with activity as usual. According to eyewitnesses, two young men on a scooter suddenly arrived at the scene and fired at the young man from close range. The young man fell to the ground and died on the spot. This incident, which took place in broad daylight, created panic throughout the market.
Shopkeepers immediately closed their shops, and panic gripped the public. Upon receiving the information, senior police officers arrived at the scene with a heavy police force and cordoned off the area. The police have taken the body into custody and sent it for a post-mortem examination. Footage from nearby CCTV cameras is being examined to uncover the incident. Intensive checking campaign is being carried out at all the major check posts of the city so that the accused can be arrested soon.
