Previously, when he received 21-day and 40-day paroles, he also stayed at the Sirsa Dera. This time too, the administration has repeated the same arrangement.

In which cases is Ram Rahim serving his sentence?

Questions raised over repeated paroles

Questions have been raised from time to time regarding the continuous paroles and furloughs granted to Ram Rahim. Anshul, the son of journalist Ramchandra Chhatrapati, has also objected to this several times. He says that Ram Rahim is not an ordinary prisoner, but a hardened criminal, and therefore, granting him repeated relief is not right.

What is the government’s stand?

However, the Haryana government, in an affidavit filed in the High Court, has refused to consider Ram Rahim a hardened criminal. The government says he is a well-behaved prisoner and that under prison rules, any prisoner can be granted parole for up to 90 days a year. He has been granted this relief under the same rule.

Strict surveillance will continue at the Sirsa Dera

The administration has clarified that Ram Rahim will not leave the Sirsa Dera during his parole and his activities will be monitored. The local administration says it is remaining vigilant regarding security and law and order.

Once again, Ram Rahim’s parole has sparked debate in political and social circles. Reactions to this decision are expected to intensify in the coming days.
