Six days after the suspicious death of two siblings on August 15 in Patna’s Patliputra police station area, their family members and locals protested fiercely on Thursday. People blocked the traffic on the service lane of Atal Path. The children’s family members allege that the police is suppressing the matter.

The children’s bodies were found in the car

The bodies of siblings Deepak Kumar (5) and Lakshmi Kumari (7) were found in a car parked on Road No. 15 in Indrapuri area of ​​Patliputra.

Protest by burning tyres

Demanding justice for the children, the protesters blocked the road by burning tyres during the evening rush hour, however, after the intervention of the police and administration, the jam was cleared in 45 minutes.

Central SP City Diksha said, “Today, some people blocked Atal Path under Patliputra police station area. They said that they suspected some people in the murder case of two children a few days ago. They came on the road with their complaint, but they did not give any prior information to the police about this. The road block was removed and the police talked to the protesters. An FIR is being registered against all those involved in this illegal demonstration.”

Additional SHO (SHO) of Patliputra police station Vishal Kumar said that no clear conclusion has been found in the postmortem report. He said, “The opinion of the doctors will come only after the report of the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL). The police have kept the viscera safe and sent it to FSL for further investigation.”

What is the whole matter?

Both the children had gone to a local teacher’s place for tuition on August 15 at around 12:30 pm. But after the tuition, they did not return home.

According to the children’s mother, she received a call from the teacher the same day confirming that the children had arrived for tuition. But when they did not return home after several hours, the mother contacted the teacher. The teacher said the children had left and suggested looking in the neighbourhood.

After a lot of searching, the children were found inside a car at around 7 pm. They were rushed to Lok Nayak Jaiprakash Hospital, where doctors declared them dead. According to the SHO, “The family has not named any suspect in the FIR. At present, the police are investigating all angles.
