A shocking incident has come to light from the Munshiganj neighborhood in the Sandi police station area of Hardoi district, Uttar Pradesh. A husband has been accused of cutting off his own wife’s nose.

A sensational incident has come to light from the Munshiganj neighborhood under the Sandi police station area in Hardoi district, Uttar Pradesh. A husband has been accused of severing his wife’s nose, while the wife is accused of injuring her husband by attacking his private parts.
Following the incident, the victim and her in-laws have leveled serious allegations against each other. The police have taken the accused husband into custody and initiated an investigation.
Woman’s Allegation: Husband Cut Off Nose with a Knife
The victim, Sadhana (27), alleges that her husband, Deepak, launched a life-threatening attack on her. According to Sadhana, her husband first struck her on the head and then used a knife to cut off her nose, throwing it into a drain. During the assault, her mother-in-law and father-in-law held her hands. After the incident, the bloodied woman was immediately taken to the Community Health Center (CHC) in Sandi; following first aid, she was referred to Hardoi Medical College due to her critical condition.
Wife Had Run Away with Another Man
According to Sandi Station House Officer (SHO) Pushpraj, Sadhana had left with another man about three months ago. When she returned on Thursday, a heated argument and physical altercation ensued between the couple. Police state that during the dispute, the husband, in a fit of rage, bit off his wife’s nose. The police have detained the accused husband, Deepak (a driver by profession), and initiated action against him under sections related to disturbing the peace. Sadhana and Deepak were married 10 years ago and have three young daughters (aged 8, 6, and 3).
‘Daughter-in-Law Bit Husband’s Private Part, Injured Herself’
On the other hand, the in-laws have completely denied the woman’s allegations and leveled serious charges against her. Sadhana’s mother-in-law claims, “My daughter-in-law had run off with a young man from the neighborhood two and a half months ago. Following a police-mediated settlement, she had started living with that same man. She suddenly returned and insisted on taking the children with her, which sparked the dispute.” During an argument, Sadhana bit her husband’s private part and then injured herself by banging her own head against the ground.
Police investigation underway
The police state that no written complaint has been received from the woman (Sadhana) so far, whereas her mother-in-law has lodged a complaint with the police. The police are thoroughly investigating the entire matter based on the statements and evidence from both sides.
