Veteran actor Mushtaq Khan breathed his last at Nanavati Hospital in Mumbai. Following his passing, several personalities from the Bollywood and television industries visited his home, yet many big stars did not show up. Actor Raza Murad appeared hurt by this.
Raza Murad Expresses Displeasure
Raza Murad said, “It is unfortunate that no major star came to pay their final respects. While many of his colleagues and fellow actors did attend, no big-name celebrity showed up.”
He added, “If it were the wedding of an industrialist’s son, these stars would not only have attended but even served guests like waiters; yet, no one attended the funeral of a man who dedicated 50 years of his life to the film industry.”
Although Raza Murad did not name any specific celebrity, he expressed sadness that some actors could not spare even 50 minutes to attend Mushtaq Khan’s funeral.
Raza Murad remarked, “He never engaged in sycophancy; he reached this position solely on the strength of his own work.” Concluding his statement, he reminded everyone that money and fame do not last forever.
What Happened to Mushtaq Khan?
Mushtaq Khan passed away on September 24. He had been hospitalized for the past few days and breathed his last on Thursday. He had been battling cancer.
Stars Who Attended the Funeral
Stars such as Annu Kapoor, Gajendra Chauhan, Rajat Bedi, Jaya Bhattacharya, and Rajpal Yadav were seen at his funeral on September 25.
