A man has been arrested on charges of espionage for Pakistan. He was recording video footage using CCTV cameras and transmitting it to Pakistan. Acting on a tip-off, the Pathankot Police apprehended the individual in Sujanpur.
Following the suspect’s capture, major revelations regarding the entire case have come to light. The arrested individual used to install CCTV cameras on National Highway 44—specifically between Bridge No. 4 and Bridge No. 5 in Sujanpur—and transmit live footage directly to Pakistan. He was in constant contact with his handlers based across the border in Pakistan. He provided real-time updates on every movement along the Punjab-Jammu National Highway to his contacts across the border. The police have now taken him into custody and are currently interrogating him. It has been reported that he resorted to committing treason against the nation in order to fund his drug habit.

He had installed surveillance devices in the market situated between Bridge Nos. 4 and 5 on the Pathankot-Jammu National Highway (NH-44) near Sujanpur, and was transmitting information to anti-national forces operating from abroad; he engaged in these activities solely to fund his drug habit. He has three accomplices as well, and further revelations regarding this case are expected to emerge.
