In Ambedkar Nagar, Uttar Pradesh, a speeding car bore down like a harbinger of death upon a group of people who had gathered to offer humanitarian aid. A total of eight lives were lost in this horrific road accident, which occurred on the Jalalpur-Akbarpur road. Following the tragedy, a wave of mourning has swept across the entire region. The incident took place when people arrived at the scene to assist motorcyclists who had already sustained injuries in a prior collision.
Crowd Gathered to Help Run Over by Car
This tragic accident occurred within the jurisdiction of the Jalalpur Kotwali police station in Ambedkar Nagar district. Earlier, two motorcycles had collided on the Jalalpur-Akbarpur road, leaving two individuals critically injured and lying on the roadway. Nearby villagers immediately rushed to the scene to offer assistance and began efforts to transport the injured to a hospital.
At that very moment, a speeding Swift Dzire car approaching from the direction of Jalalpur lost control and plowed directly into the gathered crowd, striking several people.
8 Dead; Mourning Grips the Region
A total of eight people lost their lives in the accident—some dying on the spot, others succumbing to their injuries during treatment. The police have taken custody of all the bodies and sent them for post-mortem examinations. Following the incident, an atmosphere of deep mourning prevails throughout the area, and the community remains in shock over this tragic event.
The Injured Rushed to Hospital
Immediately after the accident, the police transported the injured to the CHC (Community Health Centre) in Nagpur, where doctors pronounced six individuals dead upon arrival. Meanwhile, two other critically injured victims were referred first to the District Hospital and subsequently to Tanda Medical College; however, they too passed away while undergoing treatment.
Directives for Assistance
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has expressed his profound grief over this incident. He has issued directives to officials to provide every possible assistance to the families of the deceased and to ensure that proper medical treatment is arranged for the injured.
