Gold and silver are continuously becoming more expensive across the country. In Delhi, 24-carat gold has reached ₹1.52 lakh per kilogram, and silver has reached ₹2.75 lakh per kilogram.

Over the past week, the price of 24-carat gold has risen by approximately ₹1,640 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold has become costlier by about ₹1,500. Meanwhile, silver prices have also seen a sharp surge, becoming more expensive by nearly ₹10,000.

In the capital city of Delhi, the price of 24-carat gold has reached ₹1,52,500 per 10 grams. Concurrently, 22-carat gold was recorded at ₹1,39,800 per 10 grams. However, prior to this—on May 8—a decline of ₹100 in gold prices was recorded in Delhi’s bullion market, bringing the rate to ₹1,55,900 per 10 grams. In the international market, spot gold is currently trading at the level of $4,721 per ounce.

What are the Gold Rates in Major Cities?

Gold prices continue to rise in the country’s major cities as well. In Mumbai, Kolkata, and Hyderabad, the price of 22-carat gold was recorded at ₹1,39,650, and 24-carat gold at ₹1,52,350 per 10 grams. In Ahmedabad and Bhopal, 22-carat gold reached ₹1,39,700, and 24-carat gold reached ₹1,52,400 per 10 grams.

Meanwhile, in Chennai, the price of 22-carat gold was recorded at ₹1,41,500, and the rate for 24-carat gold at ₹1,54,370 per 10 grams. In Jaipur, Lucknow, and Chandigarh, 22-carat gold is trading at ₹1,39,800, and 24-carat gold at the level of ₹1,52,500 per 10 grams. Record Surge in Silver Prices

Alongside gold, silver prices have also witnessed a massive surge. On the morning of May 10, the price of silver rose to reach ₹275,000 per kilogram. Prior to this, on May 8, the price of silver in Delhi’s bullion market had declined by ₹200 to stand at ₹261,300 per kilogram.

In the international market, spot silver is currently trading at the level of $81.14 per ounce. Amidst continuously rising prices, investors and buyers are keeping a close watch on market trends.
