The murder of the youth has sent shockwaves through the community. Acting on a written complaint filed by the deceased’s brother, the police force has registered a murder case against 14 individuals—including the girlfriend—and initiated legal proceedings.
Meanwhile, the Malwan police have arrested three of the accused.

According to reports, Kamlesh—who had gone to Budhaiyapur village in the Malwan police station area to meet his girlfriend—was intercepted by the woman’s family members while he was at her residence. There, the woman’s father-in-law and other family members beat him mercilessly with sticks and clubs, leaving him critically injured. The young man succumbed to his injuries while undergoing medical treatment. Following his death, the grief and outrage among his family members have intensified.
14 Named; Three Arrested
The police have arrested three of the accused individuals responsible for carrying out the attack. Meanwhile, a group of women staged a protest outside the police station, creating a commotion. In a written complaint submitted to the police station, the deceased’s brother, Sumesh (alias Chhotu), stated that Tara Devi (wife of Mansingh) had deceitfully summoned his brother to the village. Based on this complaint, a case has been registered against 14 named individuals—including Tara Devi, her father-in-law Raj Bihari, Tara Devi’s nephew Gore Lal, Vimal and Kamal Singh, Awadh Bihari, Chhail Bihari, Abhimanyu, Ashish, Vimlesh (alias Munnar), Dhananjay, Rajendra, and Ramakant—as well as against other unidentified persons.
Acting on the complaint filed by the brother, the police have registered a case against the 14 named individuals (including the woman) and other unidentified persons, and have initiated an investigation. Gyan Prakash, the Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) for Fatehpur, stated that the remaining accused individuals would also be arrested shortly. The investigation is currently ongoing.
