A road accident in Dwarka, Delhi, on February 3rd changed the life of a woman named Inna Makan forever. Her 23-year-old son, Sahil Dhaneshra, died on his way to work as usual. The mother says this wasn’t just a road accident, but the result of negligence and irresponsibility.

“My son left home for work.”

Inna Makan explains that on the morning of February 3rd, her son, Sahil, left for work. His bike was hit by a speeding Scorpio near Lal Bahadur Shastri College in the Dwarka South police station area. The impact was so severe that the Scorpio veered off and collided with a taxi parked on the roadside. Sahil lost his life in the accident, while the taxi driver was injured.

According to Delhi Police, the accident was reported at 11:57 am, and police arrived at the scene.

“They were making a reel and performing stunts.”

Inna Makan alleges that the Scorpio driver was driving at a very high speed. She says the vehicle was in the opposite lane and was attempting to perform a stunt in front of the bus. She said the accused’s sister was sitting in the car and filming the video.

According to the mother, there was an e-rickshaw on the left side of the bus, so Sahil tried to look to the right to see if there was space to cross. That’s when the Scorpio hit his bike.

She says, “This isn’t just an accident. It’s the result of a criminal mindset.”

A minor was driving without a license.

The investigation revealed that the Scorpio driver was a 17-year-old minor and did not have a driving license. Police arrested him, but he was later granted interim bail to attend his board exams.

Inna Makan says the vehicle that caused the collision already had 13 outstanding challans, all for overspeeding. She questions why the vehicle owner didn’t take strict action despite so many fines.

“I raised him alone.”

The mother explains that she raised Sahil as a single mother for 23 years. In a video shared on social media, she wrote that her son was 22 years old, a talented and hardworking young man.

She says, “I raised him alone. One careless act took everything away from me.”

Demand for Justice

Inna Makan has met with the police. She has been assured that the case will be investigated impartially. But as a mother, she wants justice for her son.

This accident is not just a family’s pain, but also a major question about road safety and responsibility. A mother appeals that stunts and show-offs on the road should not cost someone’s life.
