Prime Minister Modi stated that the GST Savings Festival will increase your savings and allow you to purchase the things you want more easily. This savings festival will greatly benefit our country’s poor, middle-class, new middle-class, youth, farmers, women, shopkeepers, traders, and entrepreneurs. This means everyone will have a sweet treat this festive season.
Modi stated that previously, people were entangled in a web of various taxes. It was difficult to send goods to other cities. Previously, shipping costs were charged to customers. 2017 marked the beginning of creating new history. We made GST our priority. GST reform will accelerate the growth story. Independent India’s tax reform was achieved by taking everyone along.
PM Modi’s Address
Just as the mantra of Swadeshi powered the country’s independence, the mantra of Swadeshi will also power the country’s prosperity.
Prime Minister Modi stated that to achieve the goal of a developed India, we must follow the path of self-reliance, and our MSMEs also bear a huge responsibility in making India self-reliant.
Prime Minister Modi said that we need to free ourselves from foreign goods, so we should buy only Made in India products. He said that we must make every home a symbol of Swadeshi and decorate every shop with Swadeshi products.
PM Modi said that whatever the country needs, whatever we can produce locally, we should produce it domestically. He urged us to buy only those goods that have been borne by the hard work of our youth, the sweat of our sons and daughters.
PM Modi said that with the reduction in GST, it will now be easier for the citizens of the country to fulfill their dreams. Most everyday items have become cheaper. He said that only 5% tax will be levied on 99% of goods.
PM Modi said that independent India’s major tax reforms were made possible by involving all the states. It was the result of the efforts of the central and state governments that today the country is free from dozens of taxes. The dream of One Nation, One Tax has been realized.
Prime Minister Modi said that when you gave us the opportunity to serve in 2014, we made GST our priority in the public interest and in the national interest. We discussed with every stakeholder, addressed every state’s concerns, and found solutions to every question.
