Here an old wall collapsed in Jaitpur in south-east Delhi, in which 7 people died after being buried under the debris. The dead include 3 men, 2 women and 2 girls. As soon as the information about the incident was received, the police and relief teams immediately reached the spot and started rescue operations, but despite taking all the injured to the hospital, their lives could not be saved.
According to the police, an old wall suddenly collapsed in Jaitpur Extension area, under which many people were buried. Police and fire brigade teams reached the spot on the information of the local people. During the rescue operation, 7 people were pulled out of the debris, but their condition was critical. They were immediately admitted to the nearest hospital, where they died during treatment.
The dead include 3 men, 2 women and 2 girls. According to initial information, all of them were local residents, who were present in that area at the time of the incident.
Waterlogging and jams at many places due to rain
Due to the rain on Saturday morning in the capital Delhi, there were reports of waterlogging and long traffic jams. The city came to a standstill due to reports of long traffic jams in many areas. Due to the rain, waterlogging has been seen on the roads at many places. People faced a lot of problems due to waterlogging on the way from the airport to Dhaula Kuan in Palam Mod area. Water was filled on the road up to one and a half feet, due to which the drivers had to face difficulties.

The Indian Meteorological Department has predicted thunderstorms in Delhi on Saturday. Sharing the information on the social media platform ‘X’, the Meteorological Department wrote, ‘The sky will remain cloudy. There is a possibility of moderate rain and lightning. Along with this, strong winds (30-40 kmph) can also blow in some parts of the city.
