JDU MLA in Bihar Gopal Mandal said on Wednesday that if someone gives him bribe, he will not hesitate in taking it. Mandal, reacting to the ED action against RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav and his family members in the land-for-jobs case, told media persons in Bhagalpur, “If someone gives me Rs 5 crore and asks me to keep it, So I will not delay it. I will accept the money in a minute. Why would I refuse to let Lakshmi into my house? I have no fear of ED or anyone else.”
He said, “The way Lalu Prasad’s children were punished is not good. I strongly believe that Lalu Yadav or Rabri Devi may be guilty of taking bribe, but not their children. What is their mistake? Tejashwi Yadav and Lalu Prasad’s children have been unnecessarily implicated in this case, they are innocent.
Contrary to Mandal’s statement, JDU and BJP leaders are justifying the ED’s action. ED officials interrogated Lalu Prasad for 10 hours on Monday, followed by Tejashwi Yadav for eight hours on Tuesday and Rabri Devi for several hours on Wednesday. The central agency says that it will also interrogate Lalu Prasad’s daughter Misa Bharti and son Tej Pratap Yadav.
