On Wednesday, Amitabh Bachchan caused concern among many by sharing an update on his X (formerly Twitter) handle, stating that he has been advised to “rest and recover.” Although ‘Big B’ did not provide specific details regarding his health, the post left his fans worried about the actor.
“Apologies. I seek forgiveness. I have been advised to take some time off for rest and recovery, so I am unable to write anything at the moment,” Amitabh Bachchan wrote.

On the work front, Big B—who was last seen in the film Vettaiyan, directed by TJ Gnanavel—is currently involved in the sequel to filmmaker Nag Ashwin’s Kalki 2898 AD. The film also features Kamal Haasan and Prabhas. The story of Kalki 2898 AD is set in a post-apocalyptic world, where a group of people set out to protect a woman—who is pregnant with Kalki, the tenth and final avatar of Lord Vishnu—from the malevolent supreme god-king, Yaskin.
