Eight people lost their lives in a horrific road accident in Maharashtra’s Bhandara district early Friday morning. A Bolero SUV collided violently with an Eicher truck between Manegaon and Pimpalgaon in Lakhni taluka. Five adults and three children died on the spot.
According to the police, the accident occurred around 4:00 AM on Friday, September 11. The occupants of the Bolero were traveling from Raipur, the capital of Chhattisgarh, to Nagpur via National Highway-53. Their vehicle collided with the truck between Manegaon and Pimpalgaon.
Upon receiving information about the incident, the police arrived at the scene and initiated relief and rescue operations. A police official stated that there were eight people in the Bolero, and all of them died in the accident.
The police have taken possession of the bodies and initiated further proceedings. The cause of the accident and other related aspects are currently being investigated.
