मध्य प्रदेश: राम मंदिर के बाद केदारनाथ, बदरीनाथ, अब बगलामुखी मंदिर में दान की चोरी, नकद, सोना-चांदी निजी खातों में हुए जमा, जांच के आदेश

The echoes of the Ayodhya Ram Mandir donation theft cases had barely subsided when another major and shocking incident of a similar nature emerged from the Agar-Malwa district of Madhya Pradesh. A case involving the misappropriation of donations has come to light at the famous Maa Baglamukhi Temple in Nalkheda. Consequently, the Madhya Pradesh government has ordered an inquiry into alleged financial irregularities and the unauthorized collection of donations from devotees at the temple.

On Tuesday, the Agar-Malwa Collector issued an order constituting a three-member inquiry committee. The committee was formed following complaints that a non-governmental committee was collecting donations independently of the officially recognized temple management committee.

The complaints alleged that cash, gold, silver, jewelry, and other valuables donated by devotees were being collected through a parallel system and deposited into private bank accounts.

Collector Orders Inquiry; Committee Formed

In the order, the Collector stated, “The allegations regarding the collection of donations through a non-governmental committee, the use of private bank accounts, and financial irregularities are of a serious nature. Therefore, a fair and detailed inquiry is essential.”

The committee will be headed by V.S. Chaubey, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Agar-Malwa Zila Panchayat. District Treasury Officer Manish Chaubey and Nalkheda Chief Municipal Officer Mini Agarwal are the other members.

The committee has been instructed to inspect the temple premises, examine records and bank accounts, verify donations received in the form of cash and valuables, and determine whether a parallel system for collecting donations was in operation.

The committee has also been asked to investigate the role of government officials, temple management representatives, or any other individuals in the alleged irregularities. The panel has been directed to submit its report within seven days.

Leader of Opposition Umang Singhar Advises BJP Government

The Congress party has targeted the BJP government over this issue. Leader of the Opposition Umang Singhar alleged that following controversies regarding the alleged theft of offerings at the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya and the alleged encroachment on land linked to the Mahakal Temple, similar allegations have now surfaced concerning the Maa Baglamukhi Temple.

He demanded a transparent inquiry, stating that the BJP government must ensure proper accounting of devotees’ donations and take strict action against those found guilty.

It is worth noting that the Maa Baglamukhi Temple, located in the Agar-Malwa district, is one of the country’s most prominent temples dedicated to Goddess Baglamukhi—one of the ten Mahavidyas in Hindu tradition.
