The National Testing Agency is once again under scrutiny, as allegations of serious irregularities in the NIFT Entrance Exam 2026 results have surfaced.
NTA के सामने है एक नई कंट्रोवर्सी! NEET के बाद अब NIFT रिजल्ट पर बवाल, बिना परीक्षा दिए भी कैसे आ गए नंबर
The National Testing Agency (NTA) is once again under scrutiny following allegations of serious discrepancies in the NIFT 2026 entrance exam results. Many candidates have claimed that their scorecards contain errors that do not align with their actual performance in the examination.
Some students report receiving extremely low marks despite performing well, while there are also instances where results were issued to students who did not even appear for the exam. This controversy has spread rapidly across social media, sparking widespread dissatisfaction among students.
Students allege serious irregularities in the examination process. Many candidates stated that their scores in the GAT (General Ability Test) and CAT (Creative Ability Test) do not match the official answer keys. A Reddit post claimed that some students were awarded fewer than 10 marks in the Situation Test, despite being confident in their performance. Furthermore, allegations have been raised regarding improper biometric verification at several centers. Some students also reported being marked “Absent” despite having taken the exam, a status that is jeopardizing their admission prospects.
Is the NTA already under pressure?
This controversy arises at a time when the National Testing Agency is already facing criticism over multiple examinations. Recently, the NEET UG 2026 exam had to be cancelled following allegations of a paper leak, affecting lakhs of students. Technical glitches during the CUET UG exam had also previously raised questions about the agency’s functioning. Additionally, a controversy persists regarding the CBSE’s On-Screen Marking (OSM) system. These recurring issues have cast significant doubt on the transparency of the examination system.
What happens next?
Amidst the growing outcry on social media, the NTA has indicated that it will investigate certain cases. According to viral WhatsApp screenshots, the agency has acknowledged that cases involving students marked “Absent” will be examined and technical records verified. However, students state that the issue is not limited to attendance alone; the evaluation process also appears to be affected. The NIFT 2026 results were released on June 3, and the admission process is conducted in two stages. Students are now demanding an independent inquiry into the entire examination system to ensure that such irregularities do not recur in the future.
