A sensational case has come to light from Gonda district of Uttar Pradesh, where a woman threatened her husband to give him a painful death like the Meerut massacre. During the quarrel, the woman said, “If you speak too much, I will cut you into pieces and stuff you in a drum like the Meerut massacre.” This incident is now going viral on social media, and the police have started an investigation.
Husband’s allegation – Wife and her lover beat him up
Dharmendra Kushwaha, posted as Junior Engineer (JE) in Jal Nigam in Gonda, has accused his wife Maya Maurya and her lover Neeraj Maurya of assaulting and threatening to kill him. He told that on 7 July 2024, he caught Maya and Neeraj in an objectionable position. When he protested, he was beaten up and Maya left the house.
Later on 25 August 2024, Maya returned home with Neeraj and forcibly broke the lock and entered inside. She absconded with 15 grams of gold chain and cash. Apart from this, a video of Maya beating her husband with a wiper has also surfaced.
Love marriage happened in 2016, bought three cars in wife’s name
Dharmendra Kushwaha told that he had a love marriage in 2016. After marriage, he bought three cars and a piece of land in his wife’s name. During this, he gave the contract of the house to Maya’s relative Neeraj Maurya. But, after the death of Neeraj’s wife during the Corona period, the relationship between Maya and Neeraj became deeper.
Police engaged in investigation, both sides made allegations
Dharmendra Kushwaha had lodged a complaint against his wife on 1 September 2024. Then on 29 March 2025, when Maya came home, she threatened to kill her mother-in-law. When Dharmendra protested, Maya and Neeraj beat up the mother and son together and during the same time Maya threatened like the Meerut massacre.
Wife Maya’s counterattack: Made serious allegations against husband
At the same time, Maya Maurya has also made serious allegations against her husband. She said that Dharmendra used to torture her mentally and physically. She alleges that her husband forced her to have an abortion four times. She said that in July 2024, her husband beat her up, after which she lodged a complaint at the women’s police station.

Kotwali police station SHO Vivek Trivedi said that some cases between the husband and wife are also going on in the court. He said that investigation of the latest incident has been started and CCTV footage is being examined.
