Famous and experienced Tamil film actor Rajesh has passed away. He breathed his last at the age of 75. He had worked in more than 150 films. He was liked for his strong characters and excellent acting.
Rajesh died at his residence in Ramapuram area of Chennai. His body has been kept there for the last rites. His family now consists of his daughter Divya and son Deepak. His wife Joan Sylvia has already passed away.
Rajesh was born on 20 December 1949 in Mannargudi, Tiruvarur district of Tamil Nadu. He started his career as a school teacher. But due to his greater inclination towards acting, he left the job of a teacher and started working in films. This decision became the beginning of his successful and memorable film career.
His first Tamil film was ‘Aval Oru Thodarkathai’, which was released in 1974. This film was made by famous director K. Balachander, which was highly appreciated. After this, he got a chance to play the lead hero in the film ‘Kanni Paruvathile’ released in 1979. This film was produced by Raj Kannu.
With time, Rajesh kept moving forward and he worked not only in Tamil but also in Malayalam, Telugu and other South Indian language films. In this way, he became a popular actor in South Indian films.
Rajesh’s acting left a different impression on the audience. He sometimes played the role of a hero and sometimes a supporting actor and made a place in the hearts of the audience.
Apart from acting, Rajesh was also a good dubbing artist. He lent his voice to many big films and projects. His unique voice made many characters even more special.
