Uttarakhand | Wedding Car Plunges Into 200-Meter Gorge; 5 Dead, 5 injured, Champawat

Five people have died in a tragic accident this morning in Champawat district of Uttarakhand. A Bolero jeep carrying 10 wedding guests was reportedly returning from Pati to Gangolihat when it went out of control near Singda and plunged into a 200-foot-deep gorge.

A major accident occurred this morning in Champawat district of Uttarakhand. A Bolero jeep carrying a wedding party, returning from Pati to Gangolihat, went out of control near Singda and plunged into a 200-foot-deep gorge. The accident happened around 3 AM. Five people died in the accident, while five others were seriously injured.

Upon receiving the information, police and administrative teams reached the spot and launched a rescue operation, pulling the injured and the bodies out of the gorge. All the injured are being treated at the Lohaghat health center. A pall of gloom has descended over the entire area following the incident.
