Rescue operation is going on continuously. Teams engaged in relief and rescue work are taking people to safe places. An NDRF official engaged in relief work said that one of their teams is engaged in rescue in Sonprayag.
Meanwhile, debris and boulders suddenly fell on the Sonprayag-Gaurikund hill road. This road was being used for rescue. This two kilometer long alternative route has been damaged due to the falling of debris and boulders.

With the help of drones, Commandant Manikant Mishra made the teams aware of the new action plan, so that the rescue operation can be carried out more effectively. He immediately ordered the two backup teams that reached the spot from Agastyamuni and Ratuda to speed up the search and rescue operation.
Four SDRF teams deployed at the helipads of Lincholi and Kedarnath have been entrusted with the responsibility of ensuring the safety of the passengers. SDRF teams have so far rescued more than 2 thousand 300 people from the two kilometer long hilly route.
SDRF, local police have rescued 737 people. The remaining passengers are being taken to Lincholi and Kedarnath helipad. In this challenging situation, SDRF teams are carrying out rescue operations with their dedication and hard work.
Let us tell you that after heavy rains in Rudraprayag on Wednesday, about 30 meters of footpath was completely destroyed due to cloudburst in Bhimbali in Kedarnath Dham. After this incident, many devotees are stranded at different places in Kedarnath Dham and its route, rescue operations are being conducted to evacuate them safely.
SDRF, NDRF, District Disaster Management and Police are engaged in bringing the stranded passengers to safe places by preparing a temporary route between the hills.
