Due to heavy rains in Uttarakhand, incidents of cloudburst are coming to the fore. On July 20, there was a cloudburst near Roli village under Thalisain block of Pauri district. Even after five days have passed since the incident, the relief and rescue work has not yet started in the village.

Resentment has spread among the villagers against the administration due to the non-commencement of relief and rescue work. Local villager Virendra Singh said that ever since the cloudburst incident took place in Roli village, the district administration and the disaster management team have not reached here for relief and rescue.

Making serious allegations against the administration, he said that Roli village has been cut off from the main market due to cloudburst. Despite this, the district administration has not yet provided relief material in the village.

District Magistrate Pauri Dr. Ashish Chauhan said that the main road connecting Roli village was damaged due to cloudburst. Efforts are being made to connect the village by an alternate route. For this the concerned department has been directed by him. However, before the monsoon season, preparations are made to deal with the disaster by meeting the district administration.
