Uttarakhand: There is a buzz of Kanwar fair in Haridwar. The Kanwar fair, which started here on 22nd July, has reached its peak. So far 80 lakh Kanwariyas have reached here. As the number of Kanwariyas is increasing, the district administration is also making changes in its system. Now the district administration has implemented the third phase of traffic diversion from July 28.
The ongoing Kanwad Mela in Haridwar has entered its third phase from today. In which the process of postal Kanwariyas reaching Haridwar has started. To control the crowd of Kanwariyas and big vehicles, the police administration has implemented the diversion plan. The vehicles of postal Kanwariyas coming to Haridwar will be stationed at Bairagi Camp itself. The Haridwar-Delhi highway has been kept free for exit. All vehicles will return from the highway only.
Haridwar Roadways bus stand has also been shifted and four different temporary bus stands have been built. A separate bus stand has been built outside the city for each route. SSP Pramod Singh Dobal said that the diversion plan has been implemented from Sunday. The traffic and diversion plan will remain in force till Mahashivratri festival. Let us tell you that in the Kanwad Mela which started on July 22, so far about 80 lakh Kanwariyas have left Haridwar after filling Gangajal.
Police administration teams are deployed with full alertness for the Kanwar fair. Tight security arrangements have been made on the entire Kanwar route from UP to Uttarakhand. SDRF personnel are also deployed on the Ganga Ghats in Haridwar. It is estimated that lakhs of devotees will reach the fair. In such a situation, the administration has prepared special traffic plans. So that the visitors do not face any inconvenience.
