Uttarakhand | Haldwani violence main accused Abdul Malik arrested in Delhi

Investigation revealed that the mastermind of this attack was Abdul Malik. It was on Abdul’s request that the people living in the area got enraged and attacked the government staff.

The police have achieved a major success in the case of violence that broke out on February 8 in Haldwani, Uttarakhand. According to the information, the police has arrested the mastermind of violence, Abdul Malik, from Delhi. Uttarakhand Police has taken Abdul to Nainital.

In the violence that broke out in Haldwani, miscreants attacked government employees and also set fire to the police station. In fact, on February 8, the corporation team had reached Malik Ka Bagicha area under Banphoolpura police station area of Haldwani to remove the illegal encroachment.

Meanwhile, people living nearby started throwing stones from the roofs of their houses at the government department. Media persons including policemen were also injured in this attack. After this the miscreants attacked the police station and threw petrol bombs and also stole government weapons.

Police have arrested about 75 people on different charges after the violence. To arrest all of them, the police was raiding suspicious places day and night. During the violence that broke out in Malik Ka Bagicha, 6 people were killed, while more than 300 people were seriously injured.

Police had initially identified and arrested 42 people based on CCTV footage. The police had recovered illegal weapons from these accused as well as weapons belonging to the police station which were stolen by the miscreants at the time of arson.
