The case of firing at Khanpur MLA Umesh Kumar’s camp office in Roorkee is gaining momentum. A former MLA openly firing at the office of the current MLA has become a topic of discussion across the country.

Roorkee: Former BJP MLA Kunwar Pranav Singh Champion has been arrested on charges of firing at Khanpur MLA Umesh Kumar’s camp office in Roorkee. The police will present Pranav Singh Champion in court today. On Sunday, Champion and his supporters reached MLA Umesh Kumar’s Khanpur office in large numbers and beat up his supporters while firing and vandalizing the office.

After this matter came to light, MLA Umesh Kumar has also been taken into custody. Umesh Kumar had also challenged Pranav at his home. Umesh Kumar had reached Pranav Champion’s home on Saturday evening and challenged him to come out. After which Pranav reached the MLA’s office with three vehicles on Sunday and this entire incident took place.
In this case, the police have arrested five people from both sides. There are also preparations to cancel the licenses of weapons. After the firing at the office of Khanpur MLA, on one hand the police is in action, on the other hand, in view of the possibility of tension in the area, a large number of police have been deployed.
What is the whole matter?
There was a lot of rhetoric against each other on social media between the current MLA from Khanpur, Umesh Kumar and former MLA Kunwar Pranav Singh Champion. After this, the matter escalated so much that firing and abuse took place. Both the leaders forgot that they are representatives of the public. Bullets and abuses were being openly exchanged in front of the camera.
By looking at the bullet marks in Umesh Kumar’s office, it can be guessed how many bullets were fired. Khanpur MLA Umesh Kumar was not in his office at the time when Kunwar Pranav was firing bullets.

After this matter came to light, MLA Umesh Kumar got furious and ran with a pistol in his hand. During this, he was also seen abusing. He was controlled with great difficulty. After this entire incident, when Uttarakhand Police was criticized, the police came into action and police force was deployed in the area.
Former MLA Pranav Singh was arrested from Nehru Colony area of Dehradun and a case was also registered against Umesh Kumar. Umesh has also been taken into custody. Police kept questioning Umesh Kumar till late night.
The police has sent a report to return the gunmen deployed for the security of both. Preparations are also underway to suspend the licenses of weapons of both the parties.
