Let us tell you that the geological investigation report included in the DPR of Silkyara Tunnel turned out to be wrong. Experts related to construction say that in the survey report this mountain was mentioned as having hard rock, but when the construction started, loose soil was found. For this reason, Jio survey will be conducted again.
The Silakyara Tunnel is 4500 meters (4.5 km) long. About 2,350 meters of tunnel has been dug from the Silkyara side and about 1,600 meters from the other Barkot end. Only about 483 meters of the middle portion is left. The tunnel will be crossed after its excavation is completed. This tunnel is being constructed at a cost of Rs 853.79 crore.
NHIDCL Director Anshu Manish Khalkho says that after the tunnel accident, there is silence in the tunnel. But from this month the construction work of Silkyara Tunnel will start with geological survey and safety audit. That means the work of removing debris and construction of the tunnel will start from this month itself. This time the company is not going to make any mistakes.
