The water level of Alaknanda is continuously rising in Badrinath Dham of Uttarakhand. The river is flowing above the danger mark. Keeping in view the safety of the travelers and local people, the administration has appealed to the people not to go to the river bank. Also, Taptkund has also been evacuated.

Due to the rising water level of the river, the alternate route built for the works of the master plan in Badrinath Dham has been washed away. Due to this, the work of the river front has stopped in this area. There are also reports of some machines of the company being stuck here. This route was built to transport dumpers, JCB machines and laborers to the work site.

In such a situation, efforts are being made to prepare an alternate route from another place, so that the work of the river front can be resumed.

Monsoon rains continue in Uttarakhand. The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for heavy rains in many districts of Uttarakhand. An orange alert for heavy rains has been issued in Dehradun, Pauri, Pithoragarh, Nainital and Bageshwar.

In view of the orange alert, orders have been given to close all private and government schools in many areas.

The Meteorological Department has appealed to people to travel on hilly routes only if it is very necessary.
