A house collapsed near an ongoing crusher plant at Helang in Joshimath, Chamoli, Uttarakhand. Seven people were buried under the debris of the house. As soon as the information was received, the police and SDRF team reached the spot, rescued four people and admitted them to the hospital. One injured died during treatment. At the same time, the rescue team rescued two injured buried under the debris on Wednesday morning and recovered a dead body.
People working in the crusher unit lived in this building near the Alaknanda river. At the same time, relief rescue work is going on. NDRF team has also reached the spot. Superintendent of Police Chamoli Pramendra Doval said that all the buried people have been rescued, in which 4 people were safely rescued late at night, out of which one died during treatment in the hospital.
The rescue team rescued two injured on Wednesday morning and recovered one more body. The deceased have been identified as Anmol (age 19) and Prince (age 21). Both were residents of Nepal.
