Information has come to light about a horrific road accident at Gholthir on the Rudraprayag-Badrinath highway. According to the information, a bus fell into the Alaknanda river, causing a major accident.

A major accident took place in Rudraprayag, Uttarakhand, where a bus full of passengers went out of control and fell into the Alaknanda river at Gholthir. During the accident, about four-five people were thrown out of the bus. After this, there was an atmosphere of chaos in the entire area.
The bus was going from Rudraprayag to Badrinath
The rescue team rescued some people and took them to the district hospital for treatment. The injured are being treated in the hospital. The condition of many of the injured is said to be critical. It is being told that these passengers stayed in Rudraprayag at night after traveling from Kedarnath and left for Badrinath on Thursday i.e. today morning. But suddenly the bus collided with a truck near Gochar and the bus fell into the river.
What did the driver say about the accident?
According to the information, so far 8 to 9 people have been admitted to the hospital, who are undergoing treatment. The driver said that we were going from Kedarnath to Badrinath. Then the truck hit our bus and the truck driver fled from the spot. The bus got out of control after the collision and fell into the river.

On the other hand, due to heavy rain on Wednesday night, the road got blocked due to debris and stones near Munkatiya. Traffic came to a complete halt due to debris, stones and boulders falling from the top of the hill near the Sonprayag shuttle bridge. In such a situation, the passengers going towards Kedarnath Dham have been safely stopped in the Sonprayag area.
Passengers from Rajasthan, Gujarat, MP and Maharashtra were travelling in the bus.

According to the police, Rishikesh-Badrinath National Highway No. 58 was completely closed from 5 to 8 am on Thursday. Police had said that the work of removing boulders from the hill will be done by SRM contractor MT company. The highway will be opened only after the boulder is removed. The total length of this national highway is 538 km. Its 165 km part is spread in Uttar Pradesh and 373 km part is spread in Uttarakhand.
