YouTuber Salim Wastik is battling for his life after a deadly attack at his home in Ghaziabad. The incident has raised concerns about targeted violence and personal safety. The incident occurred on Friday morning in Ashok Vihar Colony. Two unidentified assailants arrived on a bike without a number plate. They wore helmets to conceal their identities. The attackers entered Wastik’s home, where he also has a small office, and attacked him.
Stabbed Multiple Times in the Neck and Abdomen
According to police and initial reports, Wastik was stabbed multiple times in the neck and abdomen. It is also reported that the attackers also attempted to slit his throat, indicating the severity of the attack. The accused fled the scene immediately after the attack. Family members and locals immediately rushed him to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared his condition critical. He was later referred to Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital in Delhi for further treatment, where he remains in intensive care.
Wastik is known for his outspoken views and participation in television debates. He has gained recognition on social media through his YouTube content. While there is much speculation about the motive behind the attack, the police have not yet confirmed any specific motive and have urged caution.
Authorities have registered a case and launched a detailed investigation. CCTV footage from the area is being examined, and several teams have been deployed to identify and apprehend the attackers. The incident has raised public concern, not only because the attack was extremely brutal but also because it occurred inside the victim’s home.
