‘Sonam’ of Siddharthnagar, UP is unfaithful, Sangeeta along with her lover Vivek killed her husband Kannan, threw the body in Rapti river

A similar case has come to light in Siddharthnagar, Uttar Pradesh, as in the case of Sonam and Raja Raghuvanshi of Indore. Here, the unfaithful wife, along with her lover, poisoned her husband. When the husband died, his body was thrown into the Rapti river. After this, the wife herself registered a missing report of her husband in the local police station. During the investigation, the police suspected the wife, so she was taken into custody and questioned. The police claim that during the interrogation, the wife confessed her crime and told the whole story of the murder of her husband. After the accused wife, the police have also arrested her lover.
Husband removed from the way to get the support of lover
A person named Kannan was missing from Dhebarua police station area of Siddharthnagar district since June 2. Kannan’s wife Sangeeta registered her husband’s missing report in Dhebarua police station. When the police started the investigation, their suspicion kept increasing on Sangeeta. When the police took Sangeeta into custody and started questioning her, she broke down. Sangeeta told the police that she loved Anil Shukla alias Vivek, but she got married to Kannan. She wanted to stay with her lover at any cost. Therefore, she conspired with her lover Anil Shukla to get rid of her husband.
Poisoned husband in Tulsipur forest
Sangita told the police that she took her husband Kannan to Tulsipur forest on some pretext. There, she and her lover made her husband drink poison. Shortly after drinking poison, the husband died. She and her lover threw her husband’s body in Rapti river flowing in Balrampur district. After the murder, both of them returned to their respective homes. After this, she returned home and when she could not find her husband, she registered his missing report in the local police station. According to the police, Kannan was missing since June 2.
Kannan’s skeleton recovered from Rapti river
After interrogating the accused, the police recovered the skeleton of the deceased Kannan from Rapti river on Wednesday. Based on the clothes, the family members have identified him as Kannan. Police have registered a case of murder in Dhebarua police station on the complaint of the deceased’s brother Babulal.
The accused lover used to visit the house by the name of Chinku
The deceased’s brother Babulal said that Sangeeta’s lover Anil Shukla used to visit the house. He used to call himself Chinku. We all considered him to be Sangeeta’s relative. He was known to all the family members. Neither he nor any of the family members ever suspected Chinku that he could do such a thing.
Both confessed their crime
Shohratgarh CO Sujit Kumar Rai says that the accused have been taken into custody. They have confessed their crime during interrogation. A case of murder has been registered against both the accused on the complaint of the deceased’s brother. Both will be presented in the court.
